Projects are selected based on community needs assessments, alignment with our mission of justice and peace, consultation with local leaders and diocesan commissions, availability of resources, and potential for sustainable impact. We prioritize initiatives that address urgent social justice issues, empower vulnerable groups, and promote long-term positive change in communities across Uganda.

NCCJP projects are funded through a combination of sources including the Uganda Episcopal Conference, international Catholic funding agencies, development partners, grants from humanitarian organizations, and donations from well-wishers. We maintain transparency in all our financial operations and regularly publish accountability reports for our stakeholders and the public.

Absolutely! Community participation is at the heart of our work. Communities can get involved through local advocacy groups, attending civic education workshops, volunteering with diocesan justice and peace commissions, reporting concerns through our channels, and participating in public dialogues and forums. We believe sustainable change happens when communities are active partners, not just beneficiaries.

Project durations vary depending on scope and objectives. Short-term interventions may last 3–6 months, while comprehensive programs can run for 2–5 years with multiple phases. We also have ongoing initiatives like civic education and capacity building that operate continuously. Each project includes monitoring, evaluation, and sustainability planning to ensure lasting impact beyond the implementation period.

We measure impact through a robust monitoring and evaluation framework that includes baseline surveys, mid-term reviews, community feedback mechanisms, and end-of-project evaluations. Key indicators include policy changes influenced, number of people reached, capacity built within local institutions, and documented cases of improved justice or peace outcomes.
